The museum recently updated its name by removing the hyphen in ‘New-York’ and the word ‘Society,’ aiming to shed any outdated connotations. This rebranding effort, in collaboration with global branding firm Lippincott, accompanies a fresh logo that symbolizes history and New York City’s diverse cultural tapestry.
Celebrating Democracy and Civic Engagement
In a poignant move, the unveiling of this new wing coincides with the U.S. nearing its 250th anniversary, reinforcing the museum’s focus on democracy and civic engagement.
